May 5, 2017

Munduruku: The Fight to Defend the Heart of the Amazon has been selected as part of the Immersive VR section of the Alternate Realities Exhibition at Sheffield Doc Fest, June 2017

Combining cutting edge virtual reality film making and multi-sensory storytelling, the experience takes users deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and immerses them in the lives of the Munduruku Indigenous People who are currently under threat from planned government construction initiatives

Commissioned by Greenpeace, Munduruku: The Fight to Defend the Heart of the Amazon, is a 14 minute VR film which combines multi-sensory elements provided by The Feelies. The team spent two weeks living with the Munduruku people, capturing the very essence of tribe life to create a truly emphatic virtual reality experience

Alchemy was truly honoured to work with such a distinguished organisation such as Greenpeace to highlight such an important cause

A short version of the film is available to watch on Greenpeace’s Virtual Explorer App which can be downloaded from their website here
